Registration is now open for the 2026 Southern Textile Research Conference on May 17–19, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

This year’s theme is “Integrating Materials, Machines, and Intelligence in Textiles,” and will take place at the Embassy Suites Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. The annual event highlights developments in material science, chemical processing, artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The conference begins Sunday, May 17, with registration followed by a keynote address titled “Navigating the Forces Shaping Our Industry.” The presentation will be delivered by Nathan Fisher of Daikin America, who also serves as president of the Southern Textile Association. A welcome reception and networking event will follow the keynote. The rest of the conference will feature presentations about topics such as AI and sustainability.

Registration and lodging

Conference registration is $649, which includes the conference sessions, Sunday reception, breakfasts and Monday lunch. Student registration is $299, and a $199 spouse fee is available for meal participation.

Hotel accommodations are available at the Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach Resort at a conference rate of $270 per night, including resort fees. Reservations must be made by April 16, 2026 to receive the group rate.
