Kevin Yonce passed away on April 29, 2023.
Kevin had been active in the Specialty Fabrics industry since 1988. He worked with his family at TCT&A and was named CEO of the company in 1995. Then, in 2018, Kevin and two other individuals began Shade Solutions.
Kevin was very active in both his community and our industry, having previously served as President of Champaign West Rotary, on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Champaign County, Community Health Improvement Centers and the Center for Women in Transition, Eastern Illinois Foodbank (President of the Board of Directors, 2011-14), the Illini Rebounders (President 2014-15) and as District Governor for Rotary District 6490.
Professionally he served on the Board of Directors of the Mid America Canvas Products Association (now known as the Midwest Fabric Products Association), the Technical Fabrics Association Management Group, as Chair of the Truck Cover and Tarp Association and served on the Board of Directors of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (now ATA) from 2003-2015, and most notably as Chairman of the Board from 2011-2013.
