GALE Pacific™, a technical fabric solutions provider based in Malborne, Australia, announced that Ecobanner has won the sustainability award at the World Out of Home Organization (WOO) Awards. The award was accepted by WOO’s partner oOh!media.

The awards were announced at WOO’s annual Congress in Hong Kong and recognize innovation that marks an important step in reducing the environmental footprint of Out of Home advertising. The sustainability award recognizes the collaboration between GALE Pacific and WOO’s partners oOh!media and their printing arm, Cactus Imaging, in seeking a solution that meets the increasing demand for sustainable advertising solutions.

Ecobanner by GALE Pacific is the only Australian-made, PVC-free banner fabric capable of 100% closed-loop recycling. The fabric was first used during the FIFA Women’s World Cup last year at the Glebe Island Silos in Sydney, the largest Out of Home site in Australia.

“We are thrilled oOh!media’s use of Ecobanner by GALE Pacific has been recognized with the WOO Award for Sustainability. We’re proud to have created a truly circular solution for the Out of Home space and honoured to play a part in this achievement,” says John Paul Marcantonio, CEO of GALE Pacific. “We are excited to continue our partnership with oOh!media and offer eco-friendly textile innovations to meet the growing demands of sustainable advertising.”
