24/7 Events, Valencia, Calif., has acquired AV Party Rentals, Newhall, Calif. The transition brings together two long-time, family-owned businesses that have served event rental customers in Southern California’s Santa Clarita community for more than 50 years.
AV Party Rentals was founded in 1968 as All Valley Rental Center. The business was purchased by Pat and Roger Parr in 1973. In 1978, AV Party Rentals and AV Equipment Rentals became separate companies.
The Parr family continued to grow AV Party Rentals, with Rusty Parr, Cathy Holm and Ryan Parr — brothers and sister — later taking over the operation. Don Cruikshank and Mike Redmond took on AV Equipment Rentals and in 2002, Don and his son, Rob, expanded the business by adding 24/7 Events.
“We are very excited for our next chapter at 24/7 Event Rentals,” said Rob Cruikshank, owner of 24/7 Events, in a social media post. “I want to congratulate the Parr family for the decades of success and building such an incredible local business. We will make sure all of your team and clients are taken care of.”
