In the heart of the 2025 South Florida event season, the 8th annual Miami Concours took place over a February weekend at the iconic Jungle Plaza in Miami’s Design District, a stunning urban backdrop for the intersection of auto, art and fashion. The event that showcased a collection of hypercars and rare vintage supercars on the red carpet called for the elegance of a Bedouin stretch tent from Tentickle Bedouin Tents in Miami for guests to escape the sun and rain.

The Miami Design District is an innovative neighborhood that offers visitors an array of world-class shopping, dining, art and design—the ultimate location for all things culture and creativity and an ideal setting for the Miami Concours. The event welcomed approximately 5,000 guests throughout the weekend, ranging from car collectors and designers to industry professionals and social media influencers, who came to admire some of the world’s rarest and most elegant vehicles.

Bedouin stretch tents from Tentickle are modular and adaptable, making them easily customizable to meet the unique needs of the client. The fabric for this Bedouin stretch tent is 100% waterproof and UV-resistant.

Form and function

The client asked Tentickle to provide a tent solution that would serve as a protective space in case of rain and a shaded area for guests to escape the heat and sun. Tentickle is a South African company with operations in Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Colombia and Mexico, as well as in the United States. “It had to be functional but also visually aligned with the high-end look of the event,” says Alejandro Bär, co-owner of Tentickle Miami. “Comfort, aesthetic impact and seamless integration into the existing layout were the key requirements.”

Tentickle Miami installed a 30-by-50-foot Bedouin stretch tent for the event, chosen for its elegant curves and adaptability as well as its performance. Additionally, the tent’s fabric is 100% waterproof and UV-resistant, ideal for unpredictable weather and intense sunlight. “The sculptural form and minimal lines of the tent mirrored the refined design of the vehicles on display,” Bär says. “In a setting focused on elegance and exclusivity, our Bedouin tent created a visual language that spoke the same way the cars did—through high-end craftsmanship and timeless beauty. Additionally, it’s a unique offering in the Florida market, making it stand out even more.”

Foundations

Staking the tent was not possible due to the plaza’s concrete surface, so Tentickle Miami used concrete ballast blocks, each covered with matching fabric for a clean, cohesive look. “Our tents have multiple anchoring points around the perimeter and corners, and we tailor our anchoring method to the terrain—using stakes on grass, ballast on concrete or existing architectural features where possible,” Bär says. “We always do a site inspection beforehand to plan the safest and most efficient setup. These tents are designed for outdoor conditions and are rated for wind, water and UV exposure, making them ideal for South Florida weather.”

An additional challenge was that one corner of the installation area was too close to a sidewalk to allow for a standard anchoring point. “Since our tents rely on full perimeter tension, we used a ‘low corner’ technique, in which three corners stood at 8 feet while the fourth was anchored at just 2 feet,” Bär says. “This solution maintained tension and gave the tent a dynamic, asymmetrical aesthetic that actually enhanced its visual impact.”

Due to the plaza’s concrete surface staking was not possible, so the tent was secured using concrete ballast blocks, each covered with matching fabric to unify the look.

Add-ons and adjustments

Tentickle Miami offers a full suite of add-ons, including transparent side panels, flooring, ventilation systems and air-conditioning. “For this event, the client also asked us to raise one section of the tent by 1.5 feet to fit a custom bar with decorative elements,” Bär says. “We made the adjustment quickly on-site, showcasing the modularity and adaptability of our system.”

But perhaps the most impressive demonstration of the tent’s adaptability came at teardown. The crew was asked late in the evening to remove the tent by 7 a.m. due to an unplanned inspection for a separate event. Normally, a tent of this size takes fewer than three hours to install and half that time to dismantle. Since no machinery is required and the system is modular, the team had the entire structure dismantled and cleared in just 90 minutes. “The plaza looked untouched by sunrise—a testament to our speed and minimal impact,” Bär says.

As the official Tentickle distributors for all of the Americas, Tentickle Miami can scale its offerings to suit events of any size. While the tent at this event was beige, the company offers custom colors such as white, black, green, gray and burgundy. “Our goal is to offer structures that are functional, flexible and striking—always enhancing the experience of any outdoor event,” Bär says.

For Tentickle Miami, this event represented the essence of what the company can accomplish. “As someone who also loves cars, seeing our elegant Bedouin tent among such beautifully designed vehicles was truly rewarding,” Bär says. “But perhaps the most satisfying moment came when it started to rain and the crowd instinctively ran for cover under our tent. It filled up quickly—proof that both the function and the style of the tent were appreciated.”

“We’d like to sincerely thank Christine Cooper and the team at Hxecute, as well as the Miami Design District, for trusting us with this project,” Bär continues. “Their support and openness to creative solutions made this collaboration both smooth and inspiring.”
