Geodesic Dome Tensile Membrane Structure

Geodesic Dome installed at a Resort and used as a holiday home, this Geodesic Dome Tensile Membrane Fabric Structure installed with two-layer (inner & outer) tensile membrane fabric represents the perfect union of art and engineering. The inner fabric is 650GSM tensile membrane fabric printed with sky design which gives a feeling of being under the open sky and the outer fabric is of 800GSM Block-out fabric which retains the temperature within the dome. Their form is curved but neat, and the junction details are enhanced to give the perfect geodesic dome look and feel. The Geodesic Dome structure is exceptionally lightweight, both in terms of its actual weight and visual manifestation. The shape of a tensile structure obtains another visual level when shadows appear on it since the play of light and shadows on a curved surface has a dramatic effect. Even though the form of the tensile structure appears to be its greatest advantage in an aesthetic sense, it does not require any forced structural solutions but is itself the only necessary element for the stability of the structure.
