Midwest Fabric Products Association votes to disband
The Midwest Fabric Products Association (MFPA) announced Feb. 19 that the association has voted to disband.
“This was not a decision made lightly, and we want to recognize and thank everyone who has supported and contributed to MFPA over the years. The relationships, knowledge sharing and community built through this organization have made a lasting impact on our industry,” the association said in a statement on Facebook.
MFPA is a trade organization comprised of fabric product manufacturers and suppliers to the industry, representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The association ran a conference annually in February.
MFPA has been in conversation with the leadership of the Canvas Products Association Zone 7 about welcoming MFPA members and expanding Canvas Zone 7’s geographic boundaries to better include MFPA’s territories. Currently, Canvas Zone 7 represents Michigan, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Western New York and West Virginia.
“We believe this creates a meaningful opportunity for continued connection, education and industry collaboration for those who wish to remain involved,” said the MFPA.
MFPA plans to share more details if and when they arise.
