The Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) Board of Directors is seeking volunteer applicants to fill three open positions. The ATA Board of Directors represents ATA’s members and works with the ATA leadership staff, providing guidance on association decisions and activities.
Open positions
- 1st Vice Chairman (2-year term)
This individual will be the “Chairman-elect” and will automatically become Chairman of the Board at the completion of the incoming Chairman’s term.
- 2nd Vice Chairman (2-year term)
- Director (3-year term)
Craig Zola (Herculite Products, Inc.) is the current 1st Vice Chairman/Chairman Elect and will automatically assume the duties of the Chairman of the Board this November.
Board members are required to meet five times per year, including four face-to-face meetings and one conference call. The board “year” begins and ends during Advanced Textiles Expo.
Application process
To be considered, a candidate must be employed by a voting member company in good standing; submit verbal or written confirmation that they wish to be considered for a specific position; and submit an application to ATA, c/o Cherie Schmit, no later than June 3, 2025.

ATA’s Leadership Development Committee will review applications and notify applicants if they have been elected by June 14, 2025. ATA members will receive an official notice on or around June 27, 2025, detailing who was elected to each position.
