Arclin, Alpharetta, Ga., a materials science company, announced that it has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
Through this commitment, Arclin reinforces its longstanding dedication to responsible business practices and pledges support for the compact’s mission to advance sustainable, inclusive growth. Arclin joins an international network of more than 20,000 companies and 3,800 non-business participants working to address global challenges and create positive economic, environmental and social impact.

Arclin’s current sustainability efforts are focused on responsible sourcing, efficient operations and product innovation. Since 2023, Arclin has required suppliers to sign a Code of Conduct covering labor and employment rights, health and safety expectations, environmental practices, business ethics, global trade practices, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Both Arclin and The Willamette Valley Company, an Arclin brand, are active members of the Wood-Based Composites Center (WBC). Arclin is also a member of the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) Association and has earned ISCC PLUS certification for multiple of its manufacturing facilities. Since 2018, the company has trained over 100 champions across the business on Lean Six Sigma practices. In 2025, its Asturias manufacturing facility added more than 22,000 solar panels.
Sustainability considerations are also integrated into Arclin’s innovation process. Examples include the new Kevlar® paper and Kevlar EXO
. Additionally, its Eclectic Products brand, which is sold at major retailers across North America, is actively developing sustainable and recyclable packaging for adoption across its portfolio.
Arclin’s Firepoint® fire-resistant sheathing was named a Green Builder Media “Sustainable Product of the Year” in both 2025 and 2026. Designed for use in Wildland-Urban Interface zones, Firepoint supports longer-lasting, more resilient construction while reducing the environmental impact associated with wildfire reconstruction. By reducing materials, labor requirements, and carbon emissions, the product helps builders conserve resources while creating homes better equipped to withstand wildfire.
