Robert “Bob” Campbell, MFC, and owner of Mt. Lebanon Awning & Tent Co., passed away June 21 at the age of 74.

Born Nov. 22, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pa., Campbell was a graduate of Bethel Park High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in music education at Duquesne University. He was the beloved husband of Linda Campbell for 48 years, a devoted father to Lauren Costello, Ryan Campbell and Cristin Conlon, and an adoring Pap Pap to Keira, Jack, Maura, Nolan, Broc, Eli, Weston, Rhys and Cael, as well as his new pup, Bentley.

Campbell owned and operated Mt. Lebanon Awning for 46 years, and his dedication to the awning industry extended beyond his own company. He was a longtime member of the Canvas Products Association Zone 7, where he served as president. He was a devoted advocate for the Professional Awnings Manufacturers Association, a member group of Advanced Textiles Association (ATA). In 2012, he received ATA Honored Life Member status for his dedication to sharing information and expertise with others in the industry.

Bob is also survived by his sister, Leslie Smith, and was preceded in death by his brother, Richard W. Campbell.
